We Need Volunteers

We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who help refurbish and test computers, prepare them (installation of Windows 10, a good working version of Microsoft Office, and other useful applications), and deliver them.

We are in the process of streamlining and - to the extent possible - automating the preparation process so that it can be completed quickly and easily.

We are looking for new volunteers who live in the Boston area who would like to help us with this work:

1. who have experience working with Windows 10, installing products, and using Command Prompt commands.

2. and/or who have deeper experience, such as opening computers (tower, desktop, or laptop) to clean them, install new memory and/or hard disks, and install a fresh copy of Windows 10 from a USB flash drive or DVD.

3. and/or who have an automobile and who have experience with covid-safe home delivery and also experience with computer and printer setup.

If you have the expertise cited above and would like to help us in this effort, please send an email to us at the email at the bottom of this page. Let us know your name, the expertise you have, and your contact information - phone and email - and we will be in touch with you.

Thanks Very Much
The Boston Community Computers Team

Donation Request

We are looking for monetary donations as well as donations of operational computers (laptop, desktop, mini-tower, tower, tablet, Chromebook), printers, new/sealed printer cartridges, and other accessories (monitors, keyboards, mice, switches, routers, cables, power adapters, etc.).
